Hi Everyone,
I want to first say a quick update on orders. If you are waiting on an order status update, we are shipping out all open orders today and tomorrow, aside from a handful of custom items or back-ordered bits, who are aware of their statuses. Check your email from an earlier link we sent with your tracking info.
General Update
I am currently updating the website to reflect our new pricing, which was overdue since I hadn't raised prices in several years. Unfortunately, I kept holding out for prices to stabilize or go down and they are continuing to go up, so our production costs have increased dramatically. Those who waited a little bit for their accessories product orders, this was a reason why the delay, but we were able to get everything out the door at their prior price. Thank you for your patience with that.
I have always had local Amish families, and other small, independent businesses produce our products. For over ten years I’ve worked with the same people and businesses, and it’s important to me ethically and morally to continue to do so. We, meaning you and I, help support so many small, independent businesses, all in the U.S., with many of them local. Triple E Manufacturing is right up the road from us, and makes our Elite synthetic saddle parts, saddle pads, and cinches. Bowman Bits is an Amish-owned bit maker in Millersburg, OH, who painstakingly, hand-make and assemble our very internally complicated bits. There are 32 moving parts in each of our bits! I've come to know and love our Amish families and the surrounding community over the years, and will always find a way to work with them.
New One-on-One Services Coming Soon!
I am also working on putting together a program to work one-on-one with customers and clients via Zoom (or other video chat methods) for saddle fitting analysis, gait analysis, gait training sessions, and saddle information sessions. Those services take a lot of time, and I only have so many hours in a day! In the next week or so I will send out an email with a link to the product page to learn more and book consultation sessions with an online reservation calendar.
I’m excited to be able to offer this, as it's my favorite thing to do! Since I have spent cumulatively thousands of hours working with customers and their horses both in person and through different methods virtually, I've become uniquely skilled at being able to perform these services from afar. I have a large toolbox, so to speak!
When working with saddle customers particularly our conversations often dip into other areas than just saddle fit, such as gait training methods, conformation analysis if you’re looking at a horse, etc., and I have a lot of different experiences to pull from to help share with I am also working on putting together a program to work one-on-one with customers and clients via Zoom (or other video chat methods) for saddle fitting analysis, gait analysis, gait training sessions, and saddle information sessions. Those services are timely, and valualble, and I only have so many hours in a day! I have spent quite a bit of time this past year working with a couple different other saddle companies exploring possibly joining up to ease some of the burden of the inventory, production, bookkeeping, marketing, etc. that goes into the product end of things when I really enjoy working with people most! However, nothing felt like the right fit, at least at this time. Not many people know that I started this business completely alone in 2013, and only had one part time worker for bout 10 years of that, and for the last 2 years I've been back running everything alone again, due to Jonna’s retirement. It's a lot!
I feel like this is a great way for me to continue to help people by offering our products, and one-on-one consults, without sacrificing my own morals and ethics regarding my product line's production and quality. It's important I support all the small businesses that have been reliable partners to produce our products while continuing to provide a stellar product line, with everything hand-made right here in the good ol’ USA!
I’ve been reworking things on the website and did a lot of numbers crunching and it has been a process to switch gears. However, I really had to pump the brakes these past few months in order to create some time and space for me to explore these avenues and continue to be Phoenix Rising Saddles!
Thanks so much for hanging in there with us. I promise we will continue to offer all the help we can to you all and your four-legged babies, and look forward to working with many of you!
Stay tuned and I will send out an announcement when I have bookable services available, and I will be putting out some video announcements regarding our program and products soon!
We are still running very limited customer service and product info services at this time.
