March 3rd Bit and Store Update!
I’ve been working with our bit maker to fulfill our back orders as quickly as possible. I’m very sorry our back order is extending longer than we anticipated. Due to various reasons outside our control, our bits had a hiccup in production, but we are back on it and have been assured we will receive our bits by the end of March.
If you would prefer to cancel, please email back with your request to cancel and I will cancel and refund you promptly. Otherwise, we’ll keep your order and reserve your bit from our shipment this month. Our bits truly are works of art and are many cuts above anything else on the market as far as their comfort, effectiveness’, and longevity. We have not had any warranty issues in the 12 years we’ve been making the 2nd Gen’ers, so you can rest assured that you will get a bit that will likely last you the rest of your riding career (which hopefully is a long and smooth one!)
For a little background, due to interruptions in supply chains, along with unpredictable pricing, we are only able to order a limited amount of our bits at a time. For those who have already ordered an Imus bit, your bit is guaranteed to you and will ship by the end of the month. We have a limited supply scheduled for the end of May, which I am opening for pre-orders soon. Our bits are unbelievably complicated and have over 20 working/moving parts. They are individually hand-made by the experienced team at Bowman Bits, a small Amish business in Millersburg, Ohio. I’ve been there and seen the process step-by-step, and it’s still mind-blowing to me how they do it. They’ve literally built large machines for some of the processes. They’re geniuses! Our bits are made with U.S. sourced stainless steel, which the demand has increased for domestically due to the impending tariffs. It will take some time for the market to adjust, so we’ve figured all this into our pricing and production schedule.
4-Beat Saddle sales right now are limited to in-stock saddles and individual custom orders may be placed on a case-by-case basis for now. If you purchase an in-stock saddle, for now they are final sales, and I can no longer offer extended fitting sessions both pre- and post-sale, for customers and potential customers. With the 4-Beat saddle being on the market for over 20 years, there are always used ones coming up for sale, and I simply don’t have the bandwidth to provide the extended customer and fitting support we always have, although I wish I could. If you’re serious about purchasing a 4-Beat Saddle, please book a session with me and we can go through the pre-sale fitting for you and your horse, and I can answer general questions, and we can discuss any concerns you may have. If you purchase a stock saddle, or a used 4-Beat, you can also book a session with me if you encounter fitting questions or concerns of which you may want to consult with me to troubleshoot. I’ll open our custom saddle orders once I figure out a better balance, given the many complicated aspects of producing my own products and working directly with all our builders and makers.

I will also be restocking our popular Comfort Grip Contoured Saddle Pads, Have a Heart Pads, Breathe Easy Comfort Cinches, Ride n Tie halter bridles, etc. In the meantime, you can shop for our remaining current inventory HERE
For those of you waiting for the online calendar to schedule one-on-one sessions via Zoom with me, I’ve been testing a couple different apps for the scheduler and am finalizing that now. My session offerings are 4-Beat Saddle Fitting and Q&A, Conformation Analysis, Gait Analysis, Gait Training, general horse and rider training and troubleshooting, and saddle fit analysis. All using natural methods and techniques, and no use of artificial means or equipment to achieve a certain way of moving for your horse. We’ll get them moving in their best innate way, naturally! Although I have these options listed specifically, please know, every session will be different, and we may drift in and out of all these topics and certainly add new ones to the mix! Just choose a session you feel will most closely fit your needs because it’s always individualized anyway. We just go with the flow and work together to isolate any specific areas of opportunity and get to work on solutions, whatever they may be!
We are in somewhat unpredictable and uncertain economic times, and I appreciate and am encouraged by the overwhelming understanding and support from everyone while I navigate the ever-changing nature of the horse business, and let’s face it, life in general for everyone! We’re all doing the best we can and extending grace and empathy to others is extraordinarily impactful, and I hope I’m as good as it as y’all are 😊
